Mercury Retrograde Plus Upcoming Lunar Eclipse Exacting Winter Solstice

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN??? There are tons of articles about the detailed astrology, how
the comets, the asteroids and other astral influences are imposing themselves on our fragile collective psychies. Really the question is "What Do YOU NEED?" What are you craving but ignoring because of the hubbub of usual the Holiday drill? Many yearn ago, we humans used to be in a more natural form of communication with the seasons. With the lessening of daylight, we instinctively go within, and even hibernate allowing for more sleep, less social contact, going deeper within for spiritual reflection,  where this was NORMAL. Now we are suffering from some technological chronic fatigue from gadget-itis, where our phones keep us on-call 24/7 even when we don't want to be. Our various assortment of smart phones and activation technologies remove us from our natural navigation through simply engaging common sense and listening to our bodies.

This mercury retrograde originating in Capricorn and back into in the fire sign of Sagittarius gives us relief by means of contrasting perspective. Relaxing from the conservative restraints of Saturn-ruled Capricorn into the easy-going Jupiterain temperament of of simple-abundance, we are empowered to see where energy is being wasted and time lost to things that simply 'don't matter'.

In the middle of of this philosophical whiplash we celebrate the Winter Solstice that is also a Lunar Eclipse. Traditionally, eclipse speak to the back-drop of our collective UNconscious, where be means of shocking news or unexpected changes, we are called into new awarenesses that we otherwise would have been happy to ignore. Eclipses help us to orient emerging consciousness into a larger tapestry of 'shared agreement' about what we need to do about a collective concerns, although not always verbally. Rather, a compelling feeling held within. This Lunar Eclipse is the end-cap to the Lunar Eclipse from last June with the Sun in Cancer. This end-cap is the part where we collectively can say "I Get it." But what? Take a break From It All and allow your 'self' some quality time for internal reflection. TURN OFF THE PHONE, THE COMPUTER, THE TV, anything that requires a password, and just be with your 'Self' and let this be 'okay again'.

A timeout that is planned, where a hot bath, or indulgence in an afternoon nap, or off on a special trail... (leave your GPS on for the latter) but to GET-A-WAY and allow your sensibilities a break from INPUT. This is so you can HEAR your own inner guidance about what is next for you, what your heart needs you to hear, what your life means in the next year. What is GOOD for YOU?!

Breathe, relax, live and let live, let go of needing to control others,or life circumstances long enough to get a renewed perspective on this new moon/ a time where you start new with new ideas that represent your original intention for your life. Mercury goes direct on the 30th and OH! how perfect! When mercury stops to go direct, this is the perfect time to start anything new! So let the Lunar eclipse on the 21st be a time to plan, gain clarity of your New Years Vision, go on a vision quest and launch as the New Year takes hold!

NO RESOLUTIONS-- they more often than not, create defeat. Resolve to be kind to yourself, pamper YOU as an empty vessel cannot fill anyone's cup. Let December become a time to renew your communication with your soul, as you as spirit in a body, and be kind to yourself. (As I say this to you, I say it to my 'self' too.)

Peace & Light,
Jackie
